An identity composed of Hispanic heritage and the experience of being raised in New York City has shaped me as someone who understands that culture and environment are at the core of our being. By working to bring what I've learned to a new environment, I have been able to educate a whole new group of people in hopes of spreading awareness to overlooked issues faced by both of my identities.
